Attorney Andy Zulieve presents: “Intellectual Property” for Entrepreneurs

After retiring from a full career, many people decide to write a book, write music, create art works, launch an Internet venture or start a new business that involves that may include potentially valuable “Intellectual Property” business assets. Intellectual Property or "intangible interests" are of potentially significant value to all businesses, and generally refer to trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and patents. Any business plan should account for the acquisition, development and protection of these assets, whichever are applicable. Intellectual Property Expert and Mid-coast Maine Business Attorney, Andy Zulieve is guest speaker for a special program “Lunch & the Law.” on Wednesday February 22nd beginning at 11:00 held at Spectrum Generations in Damariscotta.

Attorney Zulieve will identify and explain the different types of intellectual property, and emphasize the value of developing, protecting and profiting from them as integral assets in a company portfolio. For a number of important reasons, any business should discuss prospective intellectual property issues with an attorney specializing in intellectual property law. Make well-reasoned business decisions now and avoid future damage control and the crippling costs having to defend an infringement claim in federal court.

Entrepreneurs and creative types of any age are encouraged to attend. Bring your ideas and questions for discussion to this informative and valuable event.

Lunch begins at 11:15 and the talk immediately after. Reservations are required by calling Marianne Pinkham at 207 563-1363 or emailing mpinkham@spectrumgenerations.org.
If you cannot attend but would more information about Intellectual Property, to get a free copy of Zulieve's Basics of Intellectual Property Law, please call his office directly at 207 -790-2185.
